JICS automatically displays users’ names according to the web configuration settings and the salutation established for an ID. These salutation settings are used in all portlets in JICS. You can create a customized JICS web salutation and specify the users who will have their names displayed using it.
If a “web_salutation_cde” is not defined or if there is no Salutation for the ID with the specified code, then the name information for the ID comes from the Name Master table.
1. Open the Salutation Definition window. If already defined, note the Salutation Code used to display the name in JICS and close the Salutation Definition window. If not defined, create a salutation code for JICS:
a. Select Add Row from the right-click menu.
b. In the Salutation Code column, enter a brief code that identifies the salutation type.
c. In the Description column, enter a brief definition of the salutation.
d. Click the Save button and note the Salutation Code created to display the name in JICS.
e. Close the window.
2. Open the UI Configuration window.

b. Locate and select the web_salutation_cde row.
c. In the Value column, enter the Salutation Code noted on the Salutation Definition window in step 1.

These salutations are combined to show the full name in JICS.
